Holt Fleet Worcs – barn conversion extensions

Holt Castle Barns sits above the river Severn near Worcester with spectacular views across the flood plains and river to the east. The complex of barns had been converted some years previously to residential units. An unusual but rather delightful feature of this project was that four adjoining neighbours all decided to go ahead with simultaneous rear extensions. Although small in scale, the extensions were particularly successful additions in providing the extra space needed for family living, and enabling, through the addition of new internal steps, a much better link between the houses and their lower level gardens. One of the clients opted for a slightly different scheme to take full advantage of the magnificent aspect, with the kitchen and living accommodation moved to first floor level and bedrooms accordingly repositioned at ground floor level.
