Rainham - extension with eco features

An interesting project that featured on BBC’s ‘Homes Under the Hammer’. The property was one of a number originally built to reward soldiers returning from the first world war and was purchased at auction by a client highly experienced in building work with ambitious plans for its refurbishment. Planning consent was achieved for a two-storey extension that exceeded the planning guideline volume. The end result is a superb modern house with many ecological features researched and installed by the client such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting and an on-site sewage treatment system.

 

I can thoroughly recommend Anthony’s architectural services. It is refreshing to work with an architect who has a genuine interest in sustainable buildings and ecological design. Anthony is thoughtful in his design concepts, successfully integrating energy saving measures into the build. He actively listens to his clients brief and is adept at suggesting novel solutions to the modern living environment. It has been a pleasure to work with Anthony on my renovation and conversion.
