Conservation area extension

This handsome Victorian house needed and deserved a larger and improved kitchen dining space. The site and triangular shaped building presented a somewhat difficult challenge, to produce a design that would be supported by the conservation officer and give the required space internally. The solution was a  low visual impact side extension with angled sides  which the planners praised and has given the clients a kitchen/dining space which is now the focal point of family life. An excellent kitchen design with fixed banquette seating by mink interiors has completed the project perfectly.

Anthony was the architect on our kitchen extension in 2011. A Victorian villa on a corner plot in a conservation area with an irregular shaped kitchen, obtaining planning permission was by no means a foregone conclusion. We needed an experienced and creative architect to give us the best chance of getting our plans approved. Full of ideas as well as useful pragmatic advice (we were extension first timers !) he genuinely listened to our requirements and came up with a solution which Perfectly answered our brief. Planning was approved first time with the planner particularly complimenting 'the quality of the plans'. We have no hesitation in recommending Anthony.
