background:

Anthony was working in Spain as an english teacher when he realised that he wanted to be an architect! On returning to the UK,  he obtained a position in a large architectural practice. This experience convinced him to embark on the long course of training required, gained at the universities of Liverpool, Bath and UCE, combined with periods of work for practices in Cheltenham and Bristol, and voluntary work at the Centre for Alternative Technology. Anthony spent a number of years working in Bath – projects included refurbishment of a property in Royal Crescent and working on an award-winning scheme for the development of redundant farm buildings in Bristol. In 2005 he moved to Kent, working for DAC Architects on various social housing projects.

Anthony started his own practice in 2007, initially incorporating 'Architect Your Home', a network of architects specialising in domestic residential design.

Anthony’s architectural views and approach have developed and changed over the years. Whilst not a minimalist, he personally favours rational and simplified design schemes with the emphasis on good detailing, proportion and carefully selected materials. He increasingly recognises and admires the achievement of Georgian and Victorian architecture which has proved to be truly sustainable in terms of longevity, adaptability, maintainability and continuing beauty.

When not working or spending time with his family, Anthony is a  keen runner and cyclist.
